The 2^nd FLEXSmell Training School titled Organic and printed Sensors will be held at Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro (Italy), UNIBA, on 19 and 20 January 2012 at Palazzo Ateneo Salone degli Affreschi.

Researchers outside FLEXSmell network who registered to the UNIBA Workshop on Material Science and Technology to be held on 18 January 2012 at the same venue, will be allowed to attend the school free of charges.

Antonis Dragoneas, ESR-8  at University of Sheffield, has been awarded with the 2nd Poster Prize at the 'UK Semiconductors 2011'.

The 1st FlexSmell Training School will be held at University of Sheffield over 4^th and 5^th March 2011. Limited number of places will be available for external participant with a participation fee of £70. Professor Luisa Torsi has been awarded with the 2010 Heinrich Emanuel Merck Award for Analytical Sciences.

During the Eurosensor 2010 Conference, Danick Briand - STI IMT NE SAMLAB - has received the Eurosensors Fellowship for his significant contributions in recent years to the field of micro-analytical technologies and, in particular, plastic and flexible gas sensors, and for his active involvement in the Eurosensors conference series.
